Auckland, July 20. At the Police Court to-day, Claude Clarence Neville, charged with bigamy, waa remanded to Nelson, where the alleged -offence was committed. Cbristcburcb, July 20. A sensation was created^in the city to-day by the arrest of F. H. Bruges and his clerk, James Goodman, on six charges of theft of money, to the total of £1300, the property of Henry Tuck. Christchurch. The case arises out"of the recent sensational bankruptcy of Bruges, who is a wellknown solicitor, whose books are said to be in a chaotic condition. Dunedin, July 20. Mr E. Cameron has been appointed manager of the Moseiel Woollen Factory, vice Mr Morrison, resigned. For having opium in his possession, a (Jhinaman named Ah Moon, who pleaded guilty, was fined ten pounds and costs. Wellington, July 20. A man named Edward Turner has been arresed on a charge of forgery. The accused i 3 alleged to have cabled to Sydney to Brown and Coates in the name of Mr Brown, who is at present in Wellington, asking for a remitance, which was duly received. Blenheim, July 20.
