Napier representative of the Old Boys' Association was elected Secretary. The roll of membership comprises some influential names among the station-holders of the province. The parent Association has now active off-shoots ia Canterbury, Marlboiough, Wellington, Hawke's Bay and Auckland. A Taranaki branch will be formed in September, and other provincial sub-Associations are mooted. The Old Boys resident in the United Kingdom notify the local Association through their Home representative (Mr A. G. Hamilton), Edinburgh University, and Dr. R. G. Adams, London), that a reunion cf Old Boys will probably be held in London in August. In another column Messrs nancock and Co. notify that' Mr J. Shields has been appointed Nelson agent for their Imperial Bottled Ale. This ale secured a first prize at the St. Louis Exposition, and has come so much into favor that the Company has recently been considerably extended to cope with increased business, £130,000 of additional capital being taken in, and this was subscribed immediately on issue.
