RESIGNATIONS OF OLD OFFICIALS.
Invercargill, July 12. Mr R. P. McGoun, who has been Clerk and Treasurer of the Southland County since its formation twenty- nine and a half years ago, resigned his position to-day. He had but recently recovered from a serious illness. Mr C. H. Howorth, tbe Southland County Engineer for many years, has also resigned.
