It was reported that the amount availablo towards tho salary of tin { instructor bad reached practically I £500, the Nelson Board having 1 contributed £200, Marlborough Board £100, Grey Board £100, local bodies, together with the Government subsidy, providing the balance. It was resolved on the motion of Mr A tin ore that an advertisement be inserted in the newspapers, calling for applications for position of instructor in agricultural ecience for i the combined districts of Nelson, Marlborough and Grey, at a salary of £300 per annum, with £100 travelling allowances. , The question of an instructor was discussed in ;t conversational man- ; ncr, and it was generaly agreed that he services of an efficient teacher ould be obtained in the Colony.
