MAORILAND COPPER COMPANY.
PROPOSED EXPENDITURE IN ANISEED VALLEY. ' We are informed that the shareholders iv the above named Company, who have just secured the Champion and the United mines properties in Aniseed Valloy, intend to expend cue thousand pounds per menth for the next twelve months wholly on development work. The services of two Mine Managers are being obtained, onn to havo control of the Champion mine and the other the United mm?. In each of the mines a .staff of twenty men (forty in all) will be immediately put on to re- timber the old drives, also to clear the shafts uf wafer and to put in sound timber where required. An idditional twenty men will bo employed on outside work, such as getting timber, repairing tramways, cutting tracks, and in general prospecting work. It will thus be seen that the Company intends to put on at once sixty men, who, with those dependent on them, will form quite a little township in Aniseed Valley. The Company will require a considerable quantity of timber for their operations, and doubtless the Land Board will see to it that they are not in any way embarassed for securing same.
