FATAL GUN ACCIDENT.

New Plymouth, July 1. A distressing shooting fatality occurred on Saturday afternoon on the Pia road, in the bask country. Stanley Hart and a mate were out pheasant shooting, and while resting the former was abstractedly leaning on the muzzle of his gun when the charge exploded, shooting away bis chest. He was killed instantly, and the body was brought to Urenui, where the inquest was held to-day, the verdict being accidental death. Deceased's parents reside at Okato.
