Received April 18, 10.42 :p.m. ( Pietermaritburg, April 18. Bombaata is still hiding in the forest of Ukandhla. Owing to the Zulu chiefs Signandi and Undubi refusing to co-operate inJJßombaata's capture, the Govornnaent states that ' the situation is less satisfactory, and i is mobilising further militia. Colonol Maneol has moved his force to Ukandhla. Dirmulu has "warned Signandi that he is responsible for Bombaata's capture since he allowed him to enter the forests. Received April 19, 0.4 a.m. Pietormaritzburg, April IS. The Natal Government asks for Volunteers for special corps for active service in Zululand under Colonel Rayston. It is reported at Eshowe that j Signandi 's tribe has joined Bam bata. The military authorities have requested the Government; to send troops to Zululand. [ gjjyw __, |
