WEDDINGS.
A wedding, in which very coniderable interest was manifested, took place at the Cathedral yesterday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr F. Burton Mabin (Who was for many years in the service of j the Union Steamship Company at Nelson, and in other parts of the Colony, and who now holds a responsible position in the Treasury Department, Wellington), and Miss Beatrice Rolling, daughter of Mr E. C. Kelling, clerk of the Magistrate's Court at Nelson. The marriage was solemnised by the Rev. 3. P. Kempthorne, Vicar of the Parish of Christ Church. The bride, who was charmingly attired in a gown of Duchess satin, trimmed with accordeon pleated chiffon and handsome lace, wore the usual wreath of orange blossom and veil, and was attended by her sisters, the Misses Dora and A imee Kelling, as bridemaids. Mr Allan Turnbull, of Wellington, acted as best man, aud Mr Walter C. Swan, also of Wellington, as groomsman. The bridesmaids were attired in white book muslin, and trimmed with Valencene lace and Tangerine, shaded chiffon, with hats to match. The bride, who was given away by her father, MrE.C. Kelling, carried a beautiful shower bouquet made by her lady friends, and bouquets were also carried by the bridesmaids, these also beng made by the friends of the happy couple. The presents, which were very numerous, were evidence of tbe high esteem in which both the bride and bridegroom are held, gifts being received from all parts of the Colony. Mr anrt Mr« Mabin will reside in Wellington.
