} LEASE TAKEN UP. 1 We learn on good authority that the lease of 930 acres, more or less, for the purpose of mining for hematite iron oie, which lease was granted to the late Sir Alfred Cadman before his death, has now been taken up by his assigns, and that under the conditions a sum of £1000 j|has been deposited as security for the due compliance with the terms of the lease, ami that a sum of £115, the amount of the first year's rent has also been paid. We hope to be in a position to publish further information in the course of a few days. _____
