The Minister of Education has promised his favorable consideration of the proposal that all school children be medically examined, with a view to remedying minor defects in vision, hearing, and removing the dangers of spreading disease, infection and contagion. The deputation informed him that 25 per cent of the children, attending the State schools are suffering frohi tuberculosis and other diseases, rendering them.physically unfit to receive proper education.
