A. & P. ASSOCIATION.
ENTRIES FOR THE COMING SHOW.
Mr Gledj the Secretary of .the Agricultural and Pastdral Association, has received STTeiitries for the Show; vrhich will fa< held «y*t wwk. ■It is satisfactory to find that there is an increase in .the number of exhibits in the horse, cattle, and sheep classes as compared^ with those entered for last year's Show. Owing to the big firms resolving npt to exhibit their machinery, of course there is a material decrease in the exhibits for that class. The Association are endeavoring jto get the firms to include the* Nelson ; Show aindng those where they will exhibit machinery next year, and there are hopes that their efforts will be successful. Given fine weather the approaching Show bids fair to be equally as successful as the preceding ones. Subjoined are the number of entries in each class.
On Saturday laßt the privileges in con neotion with the Agricultural and Pastoral Association's annual Show weie submitted at* auction by Messrs Bisley Bros 4 Co., the" buyers being as follows,: — Grand J3:aod bar (passed in at £30) ; Grand Stand luncheon, Mrs B. Schroeder ; outside licensed booth, Mrs H. J. C. Sohroeder; outside luncheon. Messrs Barton Bros ; refresh ment booth, Mrs C oes ; tea kiosk, Messrs Burton Bros.
