WEDDING BELLS.

Colonist, A'ov. 19th

On Wednesday, at noon, at St. John's Methodist Chruch, the mairiage of W. Smith, of Gisborne, eldest son of W. Smith, Esq., J.P., of Langley Mill, Nottingham, and Hattie, daughter of Brian Redfern, Esq., of Shoby, Melton Mowbr&y, Leicestershire, was celebrated. The Rev. W. J. Williams performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by Mr J. E. Middlebrook, wore a charming cream costume of chiffon, with deep yoked bodice, gathered skirt, trimmed with frill 3of embroidered chiffon, a picture hat, with ostrich plumes, aud carried a shower bouquet. Miss Redfern (sister of the bride), who was bridesmaid, wore a beautiful brown voile gown, trimmed with cream lace and chiffon, and picture hat to match. Mr Wilfred Smith (brother of the bridegroom) acted as best man. The church was decorated with arum lilies, roses, daisies, and ivy. Mr Norman Williams played Mendelssohn's Weddiug March as the wedding party left the sacred edifice. After the ceremony the breakfast was served at the adjoining Parsonage. The bridal party left for Gisborne, their future home, yesterday afternoon.
