ODDFELLOWSHIP.
From "Colonist," Feb. 26th. The quarterly meeting of the Past Grands' Lodge, in connection with the 1.0.0. F., M.U., Nelson District, was held at the Lodge Room last evening, President P.P.G.M. Corder presiding, and there was a large number of members, including representatives from the Travellers' R est and Mansion of Peace Lodges presen t. The balance-sheet for the past year was read and adopted. The matter of providing Past Grands of the Order with a permanent certificate was fully discussed, and it was resolved that the matter be left in the hands of the Lodge officers *to report to the next meeting. It was resolved to hold the next meeting in the Lodgeroom, Nelson, at the conclusion of the Purple lecture. The following officers were elected to hold office during the current year: Prov. G.M. W. D. Harkness, President; Prov. D.G.M. 3. E. Clear, Viee-Presidenfc ; P P G.M. Topliss, hon. Secretary; and Past Grand McGee, Treasurer; P.P.G.M. Thomas acting as instructing officer. At the conclusion of the ordinary business P.P.G.M. F H. Hounsell read an interesting paper on "The rise and progress of Oddfellowship," which was much appreciated, and elicited much useful discussion. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the author, who has promised to deliver the same paer to the various Lodges. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring President for the manner in which he had conducted the business of the Lodge during the past year, and "he was duly accorded the honors of the Order.
