STUART-MUNCASTER.

A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at the Methodist Church, Havelock, on Tuesday week, when Mr Lewis Stuart, third son of Mr James Stuart, of Fitzroy Bay, Pelorus Sound, was married to Miss Eva Muncaster, eldest daughter of Mr George Muncaster, of Nelson. The ceremony, which was preformed by the Rev. W. J. Williams, Chairman of the Nelson district, was attended by a large number of relatives and close friends of the contracting parties, who were at its conclusion the guests of the bridegroom at the Commercial Hotel, where the hostess, Mrs Duggan, had prpeared breakfast in honor of the occasion. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attractively attired in a costume of white muslin, with velvet picture hat, and was attended by her sister, Miss Mylrea Muncaster, gowned in white spotted net and white Gainsborough hat, and both carried bouquets of white chrysanthemums and cosmcea. The bridesmaid also wore a gold wish-bone brooch, the present of the bridegroom. Mr J. McMahon, of Kenepuru, acted as best man, and at the breakfast the Rev. H. Foston proposed felicity to the newly married pair, apologising for the absence of the Rev. W. J. Williams, who had left by coach for Nelson immediately i after the ceremony.
