H. Battery, N. Z. R. A. -- After parade on Tuesday evening the members of the Battery entertained their comrades who served with various contingents in South Africa at a social. The health of the guests was enthusiastically drunk, and a very enjoyable time was spent. Seven eontingenters were present, the remaining six being away from the district. This social wag arranged for a much earlier date, but owing to some of the troopers being ill it was impossible to carry it out before. The members presented ex-Driver Chapman with an electro - plated cruet, shaving accessories and a framed photograph in recognition of his services to the Battery.
