THE MISSING MAN POUND,
IN A CRITICAL CONDITION.
Yesterday our own. correspondent wi red that the young man : Goodwin, who was reported as missing in our ye)sterday"s issue, had been fpttnd chat morning in the porch of /the schoolhouse in a critical condition, witha pea-rifle, bullet in his. chest. He was also suffering from exposure. Goodwin is apparently mentally disturbed. ~\, " <
On enquiry fronx Sergeant i)6.ugan,J we are further informed that thy yo ung fellow's full name is Thoaiaa Henry Goodwin, arid he is", abou* seventeen years of age. He was towfi in the porch of the schoolhouse, wish a pea-rifle bullet in hi 3 left breapt, and in a critical condition, wien found he was conscious, and saiflhe did not know what had occurred. Later in the day the constable/telegraphed from Collingwood th#t the wounds were no doubt self-inflicted, and that the pea-rifle, with cartridges, and the young mans' hat had been found in the cemetery. Doctors Lucas and Fisher are attending the man, and report that the wound is not serious in itself, the chief danger being the effect of exposure.
