Foot Race at Greymouth.

Greymouth, May 21. A race between Sherlock, of Westport, and Lord, of Greymouth, for £50 and gate money, over a distance of 440 yards, was run to-day. It was raining heavily, and the track was soft in condition. Lord won by, ; two yards in ,63 seconds. A large crowd" witnessed the content, and there was much betting.
