Corn Duties.
Exemption, ef Colonies. Received May 21, 10.54 p.m.
London, May 21,
Sir Charles Tupper, on being interviewed in London, said he anticipated that colonial produce would be ox-
empted from the corn and flour taxes. If so, there would be an inrush of thousands of agricultural settlers iMto Manitoba and the north-west territories, which would soon supply Britain with all the breadstuffs she required.
