RICHMOND.

[FBOM OUR OWN COBBESPONDENT.] GYMNASIUM CLUB. A meeting of the above Club was held in the Oddfellows's Hall laßt evening when there was a good attendance. MrCowles, President of the Club, in the chair. The business of the, meeting was to decide about formally opening the season, and it was decided on the motion of Mr W. May that the Club be opened with a social on Friday next, June 7th, the social to consist of songs andmusical items, and the members to give an exhibition on the bar3, etc. A committee, consisting of the President, Secretary (Mr G. Wearing), Meßsrs H. Harris, and W. May, was elected to arrange all matters connected with the social. On the motion of Mr H, Dyson, Mr W. May was unanimously elected captain ot the Club, After the meeting the members were put through a course of drill, whion was very well done, and which promises to make the social very attractive.
