Attempted Suicide.
Dunedin, January 21.
A man named Hector McCaughan, an old resident of Abbotsford, attempted to commit suicide this morning. His wife missed him, and in searching found him suspended from a rafter in the cowshed. She got assistance, and the body was cut down. The man was insensible, and remained in the same state all day. His condition is precarious.
