'. dians, Private Molloy, of the Mounted - Infantry, who hails from Winchester, J Ontario, made a speech which aroused the * wildest enthusiasm. Private - Molloy r who • 9 is a fine stalwart young fellow, was shot l throngh the temples at Bronkhurst Spruit, c and rendered totally blind. He was a student at the University in Canada, but 9 volunteered for the war. He said he was B gladtohave the privilege of speaking tor a portion of the people of the British Empire. When Canada' was called upon to send out men, she did not send her corner boys, but the best men she had. He had no regrets for the past, believing that a man having a pursued the course he thought right had no y business to haveany regrets, whatever cona sequences ensued. It looked rather unfortunate to_have all hopes and aspirations S cut down by a sudden and irreparable" blow, but the truly brave soldier would accept g with manly fortitude the vicissitudes of fortune, would not be overwhelmed by'any • 9 circumstances, but would go bravely onward with a calm heart and a serene -mind. He oalled for- three cheers for the Queen, whom, he said, the Canadians loved as much' as i the English did.
