Bowling.

Christchdbch, January 17, At the Bowling Tournament to-day both the greens were occupied with a series af matches between the North and South Islands. The conditions of the contests were ten rinks aside and three matches, the aggregate scores of the three to be counted. The first game was won by the South Island with 45 points ; the second game the South Island won with 27 points ; and the third ended in a tie. The match thus ended in a win for the South Island by 72 points. Mr J. Paul (New Plymouth) captained the North Island team, and Mr H. J. Kaphael (Christchurch) the South Island team. The weather was perfect, and a large crowd of spectators watched the different games.
