By that means the farmers would be able to get the benefit of the Judges' opinions, and no doubt valuable information would be gained. Messrs Harkness, Paton, Mcßae, Croucher, May, and Dr. Roberts agreed with the suggestion. It was pointed out the idea had been previously mooted, but the difficulty was when to hold the gathering. All the speakers a^-'eed that the gathering, if it took place, must be self-supporting. The President thought now the Show was j to occupy two days there would be ample i ' opportunity to have such a gathering. From ' an educational point of view it would be beneficial to hear the Judges' opinions. The matter was left for future considera- ] tion. ! It was resolved that Messrs Bisley Bros, j conduct the sale of privileges. J Mr W. Coleman was deputed fo secure ■ the fat beabt and fat sheep for the guessing competition. Messrs May and. Harkness agreed to find the three pigs for the same competition. The President and the Secretary were deputed to arrange for the services of a Band. The meeting then closed.
