In his remarks Archdeacon Wright expressed his pleasure at being called upon, he having been a former vicar of All Saints, ceasing his connection twelve years ago. He took occasion to congratulate the Church upon the progress made and referred specially to the value of the Sunday School, upon which the vitality of the Church depended. The schoolroom is devoted to the various stalls, etc., presided over by ladies, and the exhibition of th 3 work in the vaiious competitions. Here will be found much that will interest all, and yesterday a large amount of attention was given this department by tbe visitors. Messrs Hurst, Jone3 and Fitzwilliams, here have each a stall for the sale of their handiwork, the former two dealing in fretwork and the latter in inlaid cabinet -work, etc., all of the work being most creditable to the young people who exhibit it. In tbe . evening there was a crowded | attendance, and among those present was his Lordship the Bishop of Nelson and Mrs Mules, the Revs. J. Dart and Ronaldson (formerly of Motueka, now of Otago). The stalls were well patronised, and did excellent business. During the evening, Miss Nelson sang "When in the Twilight " ; Miss Bethwaite, " Call Me Back " ; Miss Kidson, " Crood'lin Doo " ; and Miss Stallard, " The Bridge," Miss Thompson acting as accompanyist. Miss Burford recited " Papa's Letter," and Miss Thompson "Cuddle Doon." Both songs and recitations were well received. Among the exhibits that came in . for special notice were some specimens of oarved shell work, and a model yacht, which was eihibited by Mr Anderson, of the Lighthouse. The exhibition will again be open this evening, from Eeven till ten o'clockMusical selections will be given, and these, combined with the attractiveness of the exhibition, will doubtless draw another orowded audience.
