Old Man Burned to Death.

Auckland, January 22. A ten-roomed house on the Kingsland road was burned to the ground last night. There is no water supply in the district, and nothing was saved* Mr Wm. Bird, an old man, aged 75, and crippled, who slept in the house with his son, was burned to death. He was taken out of the place three or four times by his daughter-in-law, but he returned.
