AMATEUR OPERATIC SOCIETY.

At a general meeting of members of this Society, held last evening, the proposal to give an entertainment in aid of the Patriotic Fand was taken up with spirit, and the date will probably be an early one in February. It was decided that the first part of the entertainment should consist of the farce, " lei on Parle FraDcais," and the second of a concert, consisting mainly of patriotic songs and choruses, "Soldiers .of the Queen," " The Absent-minded Beggar," " Sons of the Empire," &c. Mr A. B. Giblin was in the chair, and a draft cast of characters for the farce was made.
