EXPULSION OF DANES.
Beeuk, January 24. In the Prussian Diet* Dr Yon Miquel, Vice President of the Executive and Minister of Finance, referring to the expulsion of Danes from Schleswig, eaid that Prussia had interfered only when the agitation against Germany had steadily grown in strength and boldness. A Copenhagen correspondent of * The Times ' wrote a few week* ago that though the immediate cause of the expulsion wai not known, it was possibly due to the results of the recent elections to the German Reichstag and Prussian Diet, which were favorable to the Danes in Schleswig. It was then understood to be the intention of the Prussian Government to clear North Sohleswig completely of Tanish subjects. The Jrst series of expulsions began immediately before the Diet elections whole families having to depart within the short period of 24 hours. After the elections more expulsions were effected, Many Danes in service in North Schleswig left the province voluntarily rather than await the order of compulsion. The expulsion was said by the < Cologne Gazette, 1 a leading German paper, to be a consequence of the unbridled Danish agitation in North Schleswig*
