A REVERSE.
Brussels December 28. News has been received that 600 Belgian troops, under the command of M. Doonne and ex-Major Lothaire, have suffered severe defeat from the natives of theMongola River country, in the €ongo Free State, Africa. It is stated that Leopold, King of the Belgians, has received £1,000,000 yearly as the proceeds of the rubber and ivory sales from the Congo.
