A TRIP TO JAPAN.
Globe-trotters assure us that foreign travel, change of air and scene and diet generally effect a cure in the ease of the unhappy victim to dyspepsia and indigestion, but that something more than these is needed is proved by the interesting story of Mrs Marrietfca Beaumont, of 183 William-street, Sydney, who had been for years a martyr to the above distressing complaints. Our reporter, calling at this lady's residence, found Mrs Beaumont a fascinating young lady, who readily volunteered to give full particulars of her travels, her sufferings and her remarkable recovery. "We have heard, Mrs Beaumont, that you have only lately returned from Japan, where you went in search of health and recreation ?" "It is quite true. I have had a most charming experience, and am rejoiced to state that I now feel better than ever I did. It is now twelve months since my medical attendant advised me a change of air, for the condition of my health had been such as to cause my friends considerable anxiety, for I was in a very low state. I had suffered for a long time from dyspepsia, and I began to fear that my heart was affected, fcr it would beat violently upon the slightest exertion ; so I determined to follow my doctor's advice, and seek fresh fields and pastures new. " I left Sydney by the " Changsba," one of the China Navigation Company's boats, and, after 'doing' China, proceeded to Japan, which is a most wonderful country. The climate suited me to a nicety. Before leaving Australia I was advised to take with me a good supply of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People. I was told that the conditions of life in the East are such that a reliable tonic is imperative." " Who advised yon j;o take this remedy, Mrs Beaumont ?" " A lady friend of mine who had taken it with great euooess, and who is a firm believer in its virtues. I feel convinced that it is to Dr Williams' Pink Pills alone I am indebted for my restoration to health and animation. I took some two dozen boxes with me, and the possession of them enabled me to perform man; a kindly action, and the gratitude of a young Japanese gentleman, to whom I had presented a box of this marvellous preparation, will ever remain firmly impressed upon my memory. I cannot oonoeive how it was I tint became iil, for I have always taken plenty of outdoor exeroise, particularly horse-uding, of which IBm passionately fond. Howtver, I, determining to give Dr. Williams' Fink Pills a fair trial, commenced taking them the day after I lef (.Sydney, according to the printed directions. After the first two boxes I fe't a great change for the better, and gradually increased the dose <o three pills after each menl. I think I have taken in all ten or twelve boxes. I now feel as (hough I needed no farther tonic. "Speaking for myself, I can certainly say they are a wonderful invention, and I consider that th 9 thanks of the conmunity are due to the genius who discovered this happy remedy. 11 bidding this sprightly lady adieu, oar reporter took his departure.
