Success of a. Nelson Bot. — Says ' Manawatu Farmer • : — In Nelson, years ago, a lad went on trial into the establishment of Mr Loveday, draper, and it was not long before the proprietor recognised that he had a lad of more than ordinary application and ability, who lost no tima in acquainting himself with the contents of the shelves, the pri.es of tbe goods, with their texture and quality, while behind the counter he proved a good salesman, and it was noticed how many customers waited for young Eure to serve them in preference. In fact business grew, and Mr Loveday had such confidence in his assistant that he sent him to Foxton to take charge Of that branch of the business, and Mr Eure commenced under duties and responsibilities that developed his capabilities, until the business at Foxton, known as Loveday's, became widely known. Mr Eure was of good service to the boating club ; he helped in other local matters, and the Youths' Institute loses, in his departure, an excellent worker. Mr Eure having bought out Mr Loveday's business at Wanganui, leaves Foxton, and carries with him the esteem of the residents, . as well as their good wishes,-- «
