The chief delay is in s awaiting the decision of the Supreme Court in Brooks' and Connell's cases, and the i winding up of one or two companies now in r liquidation in which the Bank is interested. , To reduce the cost to a minimum, applicaif tion will be made to the Court by the 1 liquidators to reduce the number of , liquidators, after which the cost will be . small. If the verdict in the cases refereed f to be in favour of the Bank, a dividend of I Is 6d or 2s a share is anticipated. In any 1 case a call is improbable. 3 The wind this week has seriously dami a<*ed the crops on the Taieri.
