THE QUEEN'S RECORD REIGN CELEBRATION.

A mbeting of the Programme Committee was held at the City Council Chamber yesterday afternoon, Mr Finney in the chair, when the following programme was drawn up:— Sunday, 2 th June. — Special services appropriate to the occasion in the various Churches. Monday, 21st June. — Business places close at 10 a m. Sports at Trafalgar Park, commencing at 1 p.m. Grand Kinderspiel, " Pepin the Pippin," with tableaux, at the Theatre, 300 children taking part. Tuesday, 22nd June.— General holiday. General salute by the H Battery at 8.30 a.m., to be fired on Mount street. All bunting to be hoisted at this hour. Grand Procession — Brass bands, Volunteers, Friendly Societies, school children, trades, citizens, &c. (with tableaux and fancy dresses) — to start from the Church Hill at 10 am. for the Botanical Gardens, where addresses will be delivered. Children's Monster Demonstration and Treat, at the Botanical Gardens, in which 3000 children will take part, sports, and prizes for children's tableaux, fancy dresses, &G.
