Charge Attempted Murder.
Auckland, May 6. Archibald MoKee was arrested to-day on a oharge tbat on the 21st July 1896, at Tearoha he attempted to murder the Postmaster, Thomas Edward Cloagh. He was previously arrested on the oharge and committed to tbe asylum but was recent'y discharged and rearrested on the oharge but the oase was dismissed by Mr Northoroft. To-day he was arrested again on tbe sime oharge. The defence set up at the time waß that McEee was not responsible for his aotions and on this ground he was committed to the asylum.
