Both ale and stout are of good soond brews, and their qua'i;y not only bear testimony ti tb.9 excellence of Nelson malt and hops, but ot tbe skill of the Riglan brewers. Oddfellowship.— The quarterly meeting of the District Management Committee of tbe 1.0.0. F. M.U., was held at the District committee room, Nelson, on Saturday evening last, Prov. G.M. J. Bicketts ia the chair. Payments to Widowe and Orphans ft the quarter were possed. The question of oele« brating the jubilee of the District was referred to the next District meeting.

The Kinematogiuph. — The Kinematograph was exhibited in Bntjle's buildings last evecing, and drew good audianoeg. DuriDg one exhibition the gas tank commenced to leak, and the pictures were very inaistiaot, but tbe subsequent exhibition was very good. The Kinematograph will be shown this afternoon and evening.
Shops Open on Wednesday. — We have been a?fced to remind toe public that the stupe will remain open all day on Wednesday.
