EARTHQUAKES IN ENGLAND.
An eartbqaake was felt at Stroud and Lidbury j ester day. The houses rooked, and the inhabitants ran into the street. Hereford Cathedral suffered some daruige. A woman was so terrified that she died from tbe shock.
At five o'clock this morning furthei ehooks were felt, extending from Cardigan to the Thames valley. In Cheater and Lancashire they weie ssvere, bat no serioas accident occurred.

Four chocks of earthquake were felt, in some plaoas lasting a minute and a half. The severest waa at Birmingham and Worcester, and in Shropshire the quake was preceded by a rashiog noise like a hnrrieane AtDarley, aome workmen were thrown to the ground.
