London, September 28. At a meeting of the Bank of Australasia, the profit and Joes acoount showed a oredit balanoe of £50,495. The Deposits amount to £12,099,709 ; securities and cash £5,545,187 ; bills end advances £11,787,768. The directors, in their Bepb'rt, regret to state that business in the Colonieß for the hall year seriously restricted advances, and diminished exobange profits. Later reports indicate a growing belief thai the extreme point of depression is passed. There is brisk competition for sheepskins, Out of 5,059 bales offered ai the sale, 4982 wet c sold. Full-woo!lfld merirrs and orossbreda show an advance of |d, short combings and lambs from £d to |d. September 29. At the wool sales yehterday a medium selection was offered. The competition was good, and prices were unchanged. Chariot Hill brand brought 8d The total quantity catalogued up to date is 67,400 bales, of whioh 66.400 were sold. The Antwerp sales have bean fixed for the 22ndofOotober. Tallow, medium mutton, 23s ; beef 225. a he English wheat market Bhows a general advance of 6d, The Continental and American are advancing. A cargo of Viotorian wheat ,per ship William Mitchell, sold at 23s 9d,
