Patsengers — Mesdames Fleming and Clark, Re? Elliott, Messrs Hanlon, Pickering, Jamieson, Clarkson, Donaldson, Aitken, and 6 steerage. We are sorry to hear that Mr Low, the harbormaster, has suffered a relapse, and was unable to leave on his holiday tour by the Mahinapua, as he had intended. Mr Cox received his appointment as aoting pilot and harbormaster yesterday, and commences duty to*day. The Waterley leaves Wellington to-day for Nelson, and sails for West Coast ports at noon to-morrow. The Charles Edward is due from Welling ton this morning, and fails at noon for West Coast porti. The Aorere is dv* ai Patea to d*y from Wellington. The Kennedy is due at Weßtport to-day from Wanganui, and returns to Nelson. Tbe Murray, weather permitting, was to leave Waitara last night for Weatport. Toe Lad; Barkly sailed for Golden Bay at seven o'clock last evening. She returns here to-night. The Lily leaves for Motueka at 9.15 thii morning. Tbe Mawhera will arrive from Pioton and Wellington this morning, and sail at 11 a.m for West Coast ports. The Omapere will arrive from Wellington and South to morrow morning, and Bails at noon for Weatport. The Mahioapoa arrived from Wellington and North at 8.45 a m yesterday, and Bailed at 9 p.m for Taranaki and flfanakau. She encountered very heavy weather on the passage from New Plymouth to Wellington, and was compel'ed to sack shelter under Long Island for several hours, the voyage occupying altogether 31 hoars. The Waiaui will arrive from Wellington this morning, and sails ai noon tor Piotoo and Wellington. The Gr«fton retorns from the West 0' ai te-morrow morning, and sails at 11 e.iu for Wellington. The ss Cattetthun, wbioh was wreoked on tbe ooaßt of New South Wales on the 7th inst, was an iron screw steamer, built under special survey in 1881, by W. Dozford and Sons, of Sunderland. Bhe was schooner-rig-ged, and had compound surface condensing engines of 250 horse-power nominal Her gross tonnage was 2179 tons, and the net 1406 tons. Her dimensions were -Length, SO2f t 3in ; breadth of beam, 36ft sin ; and depth of bold, 23fc 7in. She was owned by the Eastern and Australian Steamship Company (Limited), of London, and was a sister ship to the Airlie, Guthrie, and Menmuir, all wall-known traders between (he Australian Colonies and China.
