Burning of a Girls' School.

Nbw Plimouth, July 13. The schoolroom in connection with Mjbs Eossiter'a Ladies 1 College was destroyed fay fire shortly before noon to-dsy. The papils had gone on a tbree days' holiday, bat an entertainment was to have been given this evening. A stove had been lighted to warm the room, and it is supposed the fire must have originated from it. The building and oontents, including a vaioab c piano and a large libraiy, were totally destroyed, and the tendenae was only 6aved by thd aotivity of the Fire Brigade, The iDsuranos ore: — Building, in the Royal Office for £150 ; school furniture (including piano £50/ iv the Imperial for £120. All the childiens' books were burnt.
