Wool. Sinoe the close of the third series of London salea there have been do advioeß reoeived from Home regarding the position of the market. In common with the forward movermnt in moßt of onr staple produote, an improvement has been looked for in wool, as the sarrouodirg? cf the woollen industry eeemed to warrant this antioipatioo. Although as yet no increase, b>t tbe reverse, has been recorded, it is generally believed by those competent of judging that a reaction of a satisfactory nature may be looked for daring the fourth series, which opens in London on 2nd July next with a li»it if 400,000 bales. Locally we have nothing new to report. The nsual oddments continue to ooma to hand, and realiee fair times' values. Shbepshns. Concomitant with failing supply of factory skins there has bten a general falling off in quality, so that there are now very few lines of prime skins offering. While we have no alterations in values to record the figures quoted in our last report are fully maintained viz.:-Full woolled 1 3b 6d 3a 9d ; extra prime 4e Id ; medium, 2s 4d to 3? 3d, Btation and Butchbbs' Skiks. The quality coming to hand continues to increase, and the prices obtaining are fully in accord wi;h our previous report. There is now a fair length of staple showing, which, of course, tends to enhance valueg. Prices current are as follows, viz :- Prims fullwookd, 4 3-Bd, to4|d; medium, 3£d to 4£d ; inferior. 2d ro 31 per lb ; pelt?, 5d to Is 3d ach, according to quality of psl» aDd length of staple. Whsat. The position of the market has not Bltered materially during the past week. Quotations :— Prime milling, 3s 6d to 3s 9d ; extra prime and fit far eeed, 4s to 4s 3d ; medium to good, 3s 4d to 3s 6d net, f.o.b. South, sacks in. Oats. Prime stout feed are now moving off at Is 10* dto Is 11 id : medium, Is 8d to Is 9}d per bushel net, ex store, sacks extra.
