The Waverley leaves Westport tbia afternoon for Nelson, and sails at 2 p.m. on Friday for Weetport and Patea. The Murray leaves Wellington to-day for Nelson, and Bails at 1 p.m. to-morrow foi Westport and Waitara. The Aorere iB due at Opunake thia morning from Patea. The Kennedy leaves Westport to-day for Nelson, and sails at S p.m. tomorrow for Greymouth direct and Foxton. The Charles Edward leaves Wanganui to-day for Nelson, and «ai!s at 4 p.m. tomorrow for Greymouth and Fozton. The Lady Barkly sails for Qolden Bay at 10 p.m. to-day. The Lily sails at 2.30 p.m. to-dsy for Blotneka. The Penguin will arrive from Pioton, Wellington, and South to-morrow morning, and sails on the return trip at 6 p.m. The Grafton will arrive from West Coast ports this aftorncon, and sails at 3 p.m. for Wellington. The Wainni arrived from Wellington at 12.30 p.m. yesterday, and sailed at 4.30 p.m. for Pioton and Wellington. She returns here to-morrow morning, and Bails at 4 p.m. for Greymouth. The Mawhera arrived from Pioton and Wellington at 5.30 p.m. yestetday. She was unable to leave Picton until 9.30 a.m. yesterday, having been detained by a tbiok fog. As she only reaohed here on tbe top of high water she was unable to sail last night for the West Coast, but lef g at 2 a.m. this morning. The Mariposa with the San Franoisoo mail is dae at Auckland to-morrow, but as ehe left on her oontraot date she will in all probability reach there to-day. The Mahinapua will bring down the southern portion of the mail. The minimum number of boats to be carried by vessels under the new regulation vary from one for a oraft of under 100 tons measurement to 16 for vessels of 10,000 tons and upwards. In the case of vessels over 200 tons gross the oapaoity of any boat to be supplied should not be less than 125 ft. If however, in any oaee this rule be found to be impracticable, a discretion may then be ezoroised by the Marine Department.
