DRINK AND DISASTER.
Melboubnk, May 31. The ship Aberfoy'e has arrived here safely. The crew report that but Lv the timely appearance of the tug Liafero tbe vessel would have been wreoked tbe Eame night a 9 land was sighted. Captain Robertson bad been drinking heavily before the ma.c was washed overboard, and after this event osourred he drank half-a-pint of carbolic acid, from the effects of whioh he died.
