Death of Mr F. W. Martin.

Wellington May SO. [ A private telegram received from Westers Australia announces thß death at Free mantle on Sunday last of Mr F. W. Martin, the assistant engineer to th^t Colony. Mr Martin was well-known on the Weßt Coast, where he was engineer in charge of Weatland after Mr C. Y. U'Conor. Mr Martin broke down from overwork, and was granted three month* leave of absence, during which he returned to New Zealand at the beginning of the year, and while in Wellington he expressed himself much better for the change.
