Wellington May 29. Before the Education Board the question as to the legality of Mrs Ta ker's election as a member of the Mount Cook School Co*nmit'.ee was considered, the other members of the Committed opposing it on the ground of want of qua ification. The case caused a great deal of correspondence i.. the local papers. A lease from the husbani to the wife was produced ; also receipts of money pa ; d by her for rate?. The Board decided that she was duly elected.
