Reduction Fire Rates.
Wellington May 23. At a representative meeting of Fire In* florance ofnoes, it was reiolved, in reply to a Utter from the Insurers' Protection Association asking for a conference re reduotion fire lates, that the Association be informed that a meeting of all offices ia to be held in Melbourne at an early date for the purpose of establishing principles and a geneial basis of rating for the Colony. The Association is aeked to forward & statement of their views with regard to speoUl futures of Wellington, which will be placed before the meeting.
