Reduction of Freight in Frozen Meat.
Wellington, May 23. This afternoon, the Premier informed a deputation from the Agricultural and Pastoral Association that be was in communication with the Colonial Treasurer as to getting a i reduction in the freight in frozen meat, He promised to afford every facility for holding a conference on matters conneotsd with tbe frozen meat trade, and to ca le to Mr Ward, a* king him to bang out full information bearing on the subject of distribution of meat iv England for the consideration of the conference. He also undertook to communi- j cate with the Australian Premiers other than the Premier of Queensland as to whether it would be necessary te include cattle from other Australian Colonies in the proclamation with regard to Qaeensland cattle.
