Sydney, May 21. Id the Legislative Assembly tbe debate on Blr Henry Earke'a motion of ceneure was resumed. Mr Wise said the Government had not attempted to carry ous their pledges. He generally ageeed with tbe programme, but said thrra was no obanee 10 carry it oat. They were pledged to a Land Tax v.i.hou* exemption, but introduced a bill which would take the burden off the speculator, and place it on tbe shoulders of prtduoeis.
