FATAL FIRE.
Sydney, April 14.
A terrib'e fatd fire oeo^red at Parkes this morning. A la -go tenement hoese ocoupied by a widow earned Quinn and her family was discovered to ba on fire at an early hour. Mra Quinn's brother and another man managed to eaoape with great difficulty, bnt the other ocoupants, oonsisting of Mrs Quinn and five children whoee ag-^a ranged from Eeven months to ten yeare, wete burnt ta death, also the eisler cf Mra Qoion, named
Perry. All those buret were apparently Buffbca'ed lirst by the smoke, and it appeared as though eeoapo was impossible, owing to several of the doors and windows being nailed np as a preventative ag-umt burglars.
