MRS BESANT.
Lo_rnox, January 15.
Mrs Besant, in a letter to the Chronicle, admits that she was deceived by Mr Judge's alleged messages from the Mahatmas, and says that she did her best to expose and suppress him. The American branch of the society ought to do the rest. She says that she prefers to suffer under the charge of fraud rather than divulge private documents.
