BRITISH CABINET MEETING.
London, October 3. It is believed that the Cabinet is discussing the despatch of Indian troops to the Treaty pcrts in China to protect foreigner?, and the ad vis ibility of increasing the British squadron in the Chinese waters. (Received October 5, at 1.40 a.m.) October 4. The British Cabinet isdisoussing the protection of British subjects in China. It is understood that China will not object to the landing of British troops in tbe treaty ports. At present there are three tnousand tivops in Hong Kong. (Received October 4, at 11 a.m.)
