Election Petition.
Wuunoion, January 3. Mr Jellieoe has been retained by Sir B. Stoat. The defence will be an absolute denial of the allegations in the petition. The hearing of tbe ease is not likely to tike place before Febraary Captain Jackson Barry writes to the < Post ' denying that he is directly or indirectly concerned in the petition against Sir Robert Btobt, and also that he had a bet with Mr Logan on the result of the election.
